Sonic Highways is the eight studio album by Foo Fighters, released on November 10, 2014 on RCA. The album is part of a companion TV series Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways and each of the eight tracks were recorded in a different city as a tribute to rock. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with sales of 190,000 copies in the United States and has sold 430,000 copies there as of February 2015. It is their second album to be produced by Butch Vig, who had previously produced its' predecessor Wasting Light as well as Nirvana's breakthrough sophomore album Nevermind.
